Pusha T says he and Kanye West never truly agreed or saw things the same way.

Pusha T says he and Kanye West never truly saw “eye to eye,” even during the height of their friendship.

In a candid interview with The New York Times’ Popcast, Pusha T says he and Kanye West had a complicated dynamic, despite their musical collaborations and shared history at GOOD Music.

“I don’t even know if I ever held my tongue,” Pusha explained. “I always spoke up about everything. But what someone does with that information—whether they take my advice or not—that’s on them. I don’t regret anything I said.”

Reflecting further, he added: “We made amazing music together, no doubt. But beyond the music, we have nothing in common. When it comes to morals, principles, mindset—we’ve never agreed on much.”

During another sit-down with GQ earlier this month, the Virginia native was even more direct about his feelings toward Ye.

“The one thing I’ll say about him is this—every issue he’s complaining about online right now, I warned him about it,” Pusha T says he and Kanye West have always had a tense relationship. “He doesn’t speak to me the way he does to other people.”

Pusha continued: “He’s got incredible intuition, sure. But that’s exactly why we clash. He sees how I feel about him. He knows I don’t view him as a man, and I think he senses that.”

“That’s why we can’t build anything together anymore. He knows how I truly see him—he’s shown me his weakest sides, and I don’t respect weakness.”

Pusha T says he and Kanye West are no longer close, and he even referenced West in Clipse’s new single “Ace Trumpets” from Let God Sort Em Out.

In the track, Pusha raps: “Sold ecstasy and disappeared, I am Whodini / Look at them, him and him, still waitin’ on Yeezy / I hope you got your squeegees / At your interviews, I just ki-ki.”

Kanye West has yet to respond publicly to Pusha’s latest comments. Their fallout dates back to Pusha’s departure from GOOD Music in 2022, after Ye faced widespread backlash for making antisemitic remarks.
