Jeezy has admitted that he was sexually abused as a child by a babysitter.

Speaking to actor Nia Long in a candid interview posted on his YouTube channel on Tuesday (November 7), the rapper opened up about his childhood trauma as well as his ongoing divorce from Jeannie Mai.

Discussing trauma with Long, Jeezy admitted that he was “left with a babysitter who was older and her touching and doing things to me that don’t normally happen to kids.”

The Boyz n the Hood star then asked, “Like molesting?” to which Jeezy replied: “Right.”

While he didn’t specify how old he was when this happened, the “Put On” rapper said he was “introduced to sex at a very young age.”

Jeezy also detailed other moments of trauma from his childhood that had a lasting impact on him, recalling an incident where he watched a neighbor shoot his wife when he was 8 years old.

“I remember it like it was yesterday. They got into an argument,” he told Long before going on to describe hiding under a sink as the man shot his wife “like four times” but did not kill her.

Reflecting on the incident, Jeezy said: “Before I was 8, I had already accepted that this is the norm. I was already desensitized. I was already thinking this is what life is.”

Jeezy has recently been much more open about his private life following the publication of his memoir Adversity For Sale in August.

During a recent interview with PEOPLEhe admitted that he had suicidal thoughts as a teenager following his incarceration at a Fort Stewart boot camp after being caught dealing drugs.

Near the end of his time at the boot camp, Jeezy said: “So it was all this stuff in my head. I just remember standing there and it was for a brief moment, I would say at least about 10 minutes, I actually contemplated jumping in the water.

“I had never had suicidal thoughts, but I [thought], ‘Well, shit, if I just jump in the water, I ain’t gotta deal with this. I ain’t gotta go back home. I gotta do none of these things.’”

He also revealed that he didn’t jump in the water because a voice inside him told him to “man up.”
